Learn 2 Bird offers colorful, educational, and light-hearted presentations covering many aspects of bird life, bird biology, and general nature and ecology. Below is a list of prepared presentations but we can cater to your needs with enough lead time.

For the record, our talks are about discovering the wonder of birds. We are not purveyors of "doom and gloom" scenarios as there is too much to be enjoyed and appreciated in nature. Our talks are positive and fun and the audience, especially kids, will walk away hopeful and excited, not fearful and despondent.

Locations will be arranged by hosting group or agency which will also need to provide electricity, projector, and a screen. If you don't have a projector, please contact me.

Bird Basics

This introductory presentation is intended for a school age audience and talks about the birds of our region, migration, biology (beaks, feathers, etc), and ways to attract them.

Age Range: Grades 4-7

Creating Backyard Habitat

What do you need in your yard or property to cater to the variety of resident and migratory birds? We'll talk about everything from native plants to bird feeders and everything in between.

The Birds of S.E. PA

Through photographs, we show you the variety of birds you're likely to see in PA and when including uncommon visitors, genetic mutations (like albino), and of course, the common residents.

Nature to Nurture

You've got great habitat in your yard! What kind of things can you add that will enhance it even further. Supplemental bird houses and birdfeeders will discussed along with seed choice and which birds to expect!

This presentation covers the how, why, and when of the Great Backyard Bird Count, a beginner-friendly citizen science program that takes place every President's Day weekend.
